Rachel Cohen is an independent film producer based in New York and, since 2007, head of production at iDeal Partners. Most recently, Rachel produced Katherine Dieckmann’s Stranger Weather, starring Holly Hunter, which had a gala premiere at the 2016 Toronto Film Festival and was released this summer. Also to be released this year is the feature documentary film, House of Z, which is made its worldwide premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Previous films include: the critically acclaimed The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete, directed by George Tillman, Jr. and Dirty Girl. Ideal has several feature film projects in development, including a biopic about choreographer Alvin Ailey, and the company is also venturing into television, including a limited series set up at Amazon, to be directed by George Tillman, Jr. and produced with Susan Lewis and Alicia Keys; and a limited series based on a New Yorker article about migrant children which Ramin Bahrani will write and direct. Prior to iDeal, Rachel was SVP of Development and Production at Tribeca Productions and before that spend 7 years at Artisan Entertainment as SVP in Development and Acquisitions.
