Vigil Chime (2017) received the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences for her screenplay, Bring Back Girl. Watch her accept the award here!
Nancy Duff‘s (2016) pilot Dead Drop was a finalist in the WIF/Black List Episodic Lab and her sci-fi feature Mars Project made semifinals of Final Draft Big Break. Her pilot, Baked, was selected by the WeForShe Organization for the 2017 WriteHer List. It was also a finalist in the Page Awards (Action/Adventure Category) and won 2017 a Napa Valley Film Festival Screenwriting Award, where she participated in the Artist in Residency Program. and she will be participating in the Artist in Residency program (mentors are Jim Rash & Jenny Lumet), Current Quarter-finalist in Final Draft Big Break (competition is still pending).
Nancy Katz (2016) was a semifinalist at the Austin Film Festival with a comedy/horror feature that she co-wrote. I also placed as a quarter-finalist in Script Pipeline and BlueCat.
Kate Erickson (2016) was a double semifinalist at the Austin Film Festival this year with a feature comedy (Last Christmas) and comedy pilot (Kid Appropriate). Last Christmas was also the runner up at ScreenCraft Comedy Feature contest. Her script Roll With It, which she brought to The Writers Lab, was a semi-finalist at Austin Film Festival and was a top 50 Finalist in for the Nicholl Fellowship in 2014.
Chris Hulen‘s (2016) The Writers Lab script A Gentleman of Good Hope was a 2017 Nicholl Fellowship semifinalist, as well as quarter-finalist in BlueCat and the Austin Film Festival. It made it to the second round of the WIF/Black List Lab, and was a top 3 finalist in Final Draft Big Break 2016.
Melody Cooper (2016) won the Tangerine Fellowship for the Stowe Story Labs and selected to participate in the 2017 NY Stage and Film Workshop. She also participated in the 2016 AMC Shutter Lab and is represented by Circle of Confusion & Abrams Artists Agency.
Meredith DePaolo‘s (20160 new feature Confinement was a finalist in the Page Awards (Thriller category).
Stephanie Stanley‘s (2016) The Writers Lab script The Radical was a quarter-finalist at the Austin Film Festival and for the Nicholl Fellowship.
